Eating breakfast waking up

Keeping balanced coffee cup

 

Leaning forward as you speak

Meaning’s awkward hide and seek

 

Staring upward at the ceiling

Deciphering the carpet’s feelings

 

Pissing peaceful at stool your own

Cogitating systems upon the throne

 

Waiting arrival of the urbane commute

Watching landscapes from a window so beaut

 

Kneebone footbone to the floor mate

Sternum straight back as for a portrait

 

Sedentary ergonomic might

Typing keyboard left and right

 

Sitting pretty telling a phone what’s what

Photographically on the spot

 

Alone along a laneway alcove shaded

Squeezed in by crowds lost paraded

 

Crosslegged calm outside the rush

Knitting patterns their own weaved hush

 

Quietly quite upright somewhere somehow

Wishing waiting would end now now

 

Tickling smiling the cat’s chin

Homeward is where they let you in

 

Yoga poses or at least close supposes

Checking news is no spray of roses

 

Reading pages prolix up in bed

Slumping slumberwards in your head
