Comma (February)

What’s the difference between a cat and a comma? One has claws at the end of its paws and one is a pause at the end of a clause. This cute quote from a ‘friend’ of a ‘friend’ showed on Facebook this February, like so much cuteness these days. As we toy with mouses we observe how our literate world divides along the comma. Not that openly democratic Facebook demands perfect punctuation, but clearly some of us care more about the comma than others. Like cats, we’re in a hurry, or else have all day to mark our little territories.
