I-Ching (May)

Line One: May is the still green mountain, left each day for work in stillness. Line Two: May watches decay travel with the wind where it will land, watches wind blow some more. Line Three: May splits our field of vision, left sleepy Abbotsford, right upwardly Fitzroy, like an open book. Line Four: May radiance is closed again by raincloud that mounts and will not shed. Line Five: May’s memories, those years are healed by the years between us. Line Six: May ignores distraction, loves thunder seizing-up over difficult suburbs, when lightning sprouts. Extra line: May with all its birthdays.
