Ode (November)

Thou art indescribable in thy space with bending celeste sifted by trending cloud, height no obstacle, orbit all inference, zenith touched against arc of retina, expanse left alone to find a way home, thunderheads in that invisible hue screening us faintly from the wildest stars. Likewise thy invented miles here below crush upon crush walls, links into maze of roads (cars breathe apace their toxic arabesques) ragged, manic, greedy, noisy, sleekest,
along mountains and populated shores, unstopping construct atop red ruin: to the end of gaze and start of story. November, catchword for realities even sleep cannot close off completely.

Ode (November)

Thou art indescribable in thy space
With bending celeste sifted by trending cloud,
Height no obstacle, orbit all inference,
Zenith touched against arc of retina,
Expanse left alone to find a way home,
Thunderheads in that invisible hue
Screening us faintly from the wildest stars.
Likewise thy invented miles here below
Crush upon crush walls, links into maze of roads,
(Cars breathe apace their toxic arabesques)
Ragged, manic, greedy, noisy, sleekest,
Along mountains and populated shores,
Unstopping construct atop red ruin
To the end of gaze and start of story.
November, catchword for realities
Even sleep cannot close off completely.
