Obsidian (January)

This January we adopt a second cat, delivered at Stonnington City Pound, first home of our other cat, April. The new cat is black with a white stripe. His mother Nancy gave birth to four kittens, named Nell, Nora, Neil, and Norman. Norman Harvey is kind of laughable, what with Harvey Norman. Bridie took the scientific approach, listing black names and trying them out: Felix, Smokey, Pepper, Ash, Liquorice, Ink, Shadow. All fine names for a black cat, we agreed. Bridie settled on Obsidian, which we also agreed was a fine name for a black cat with a white stripe.
