The
body of work has never been published. It thrives in unnoticed back streets,
like its author. No-one shows up with an interest or contract. The body of work
fills drawers and hard drives. Passers-by notice the author at work. Breathing
in and out, he spends minutes then hours on words no-one will read. All of
August. The paragraphs are unforgettable, for those who have read them: no-one
in particular. Several people are aware of the body of work, but they’re not
going to do anything. The body of work is in briefcases and folders, in linen
cupboards, under couches.
