Asked
in Lenten meditation what in your life is something wasteful, my first thought
was: needless arguments. Well, you would say that, wouldn’t you? Why did you
say that? Some people march out arguments for the sake of them, foolishness their
lot. Real arguments often start for no real reason, because our desires and
expectations are secret from us. They must be had to clarify what each person
thinks, where they actually stand. It’s how we keep our temper that’s the test.
Needless arguments end with the conclusion that that was needless. We could’ve
done without it. Wouldn’t you agree?
