Golden (February)

[For John Davis] All that glitters is not golden. For example, the car park of windscreens in the noonday sun. And the dazzles behind eyelids when returning inside. The eye of your friend in midst of a good joke. And those glasses of his in midst of a good read. The running conversation and the resting interludes. The restless ripple effect on February river as fresh breeze picks up. And the leaves in tall trees when that breeze comes through. City lights as you stroll after a night at the opera. And their reflected iridescence if it happened to rain.
