床前明月光
疑是地上霜。
举头望明月
低头思故乡。
This
August I read Li Po, again. He’s online too. Chuángqián míngyuè guāng/ Yí shì
dìshàng shuāng/ Jǔtóu wàng míngyuè/ Dītóu sī gùxiāng wrote Li Po. It’s one of
his most famous poems, ‘Quiet Night Thought’. Google Translate has it thus: Bed moonlight/ Suspect is the ground cream./ Raised his head to the moon/
Bow to his hometown. A human came up with this: Before my bed/ there is bright moonlight/ So
that it seems/ Like frost on the ground:/ Lifting my head/ I watch the bright
moon,/ Lowering my head/ I dream that I'm home.
