Poem

Deliberately over empty space pushed
Apposite adjectives, no-nonsense nouns
This Peony shapely and unrenowned,
Challenge to the smug, solace for the bushed.
Never to lighten the editor’s dark door,
Free to a good home or nearest offer
This Pomme, tasting of laughter and suffer,
Peals of after and swallowed to the core.
Letters bundled in a shoebox coffin
This Palm of lines gone all over the place
Asking the time and do you come here often.
This cost-free verbal that gets in your face,
Perm of curly questions the head extends,
This Phone-in of suggestions without end.
